www.learnigbolanguage.com is about promoting and preserving the Igbo language, reported by the United Nations to be on a worrying path to extinction. The content of the website is bilingual—Igbo and English—for that is the most effective way to teach the language. In addition to teaching the language through prepared lessons posted weekly on the site, there are a number of resources available on the site for learners, Igbo-literate visitors, and non Igbo people interested in being edified about the Igbo people to access for use to enhance their learning experience or to plainly enjoy. There is the book serialization page where Igbo books are serialized, Igbo learning books, and a kids pictorial English-Igbo Dictionary. There is also The Global Igbo Monthly Arts, Culture and Leisure Magazine published in English, and an Igbo political blog that publishes articles about top political issues affecting the Igbo in Nigeria and in the Igbo Diaspora. The Igbo News and Features Page, presented in the Igbo language, is an informative segment of top news from the Igbo world. The Gallery of Great Igbo People page lists in a short bio with a photo Igbo people of significant accomplishments. A committee meets once a week to evaluate and approve new entries into the page, which is updated weekly. The contents of this site are free, and so we ask of you to kindly DONATE so the important work we do for the Igbo will not be constrained by lack of funding. Please visit often.
